The OPTEX Bridge is the gateway which allows to pair any monitored alarm devices, such as indoor or outdoor intrusion sensors or personal alarm button and ONVIF cameras to provide a secure Cloud based- visual verification solution.

If the alarm devices triggers, the pre and post event images are available within 5 seconds to the monitoring station and ready to be shared with the emergency contacts if necessary.

The video verification system could be more advanced by using the analytics information available within the IP cameras. using the ONVIF protocol.

To use this functionality, ONVIF should be enabled and an ONVIF user profile must be created within the IP camera settings. Also the camera’s motion detection should be enabled. ONVIF set up could vary and we recommend checking with the CCTV manufacturer.

When mounting a camera using the ONVIF discovery tool, please select the desired camera and make sure to select “ONVIF” as the protocol and input the ONVIF user’s details that was created in the camera settings.

Once this has been done The Bridge will take the analytics from the camera using the ONVIF protocol and alarms will be sent to the monitoring station.

Please note that the ONVIF Event Message feature will only work with camera’s that are connected directly to the Bridge. This feature will not work if connecting a camera using an NVR/DVR to host the stream. For more information, contact tech-support@optex-europe.com
