At BAU 2019, BBC Bircher Smart Access and Optex Co. Ltd. mutually present some of their latest innovations, with the brand-new industrial door combination sensor "OAM-Explorer" from Optex and the BBC Bircher design prize awarded, contact-free switch “CleanSwitch”.

BBC Bircher will exclusively market the new combination sensor in most European countries. This product is combining microwave technology for activation and the active infrared technology for the protection of people, vehicles and the door itself. Advanced cross-traffic masking and people/vehicle distinction functions increase the sustainability of vertical doors. The easy setting and adjustment via app and an installer-friendly design facilitate a straightforward installation of the sensor.

With the new "Explorer", BBC Bircher will provide a unique and comprehensive range of products and solutions to make industrial doors more productive, safer and sustainable. The new "Explorer" will be available as of spring 2019 through the sales network of BBC Bircher Smart Access.

Optex will add the hygienic contact-free “CleanSwitch” as an addition to its portfolio of safety and activation solutions for automatic swing, sliding, and revolving doors, as well as products for secured entry and industrial door applications. The product will be available in Europe through the sales network of Optex Technologies BV.

Optex is a world leading manufacturer of high performance sensing technologies. For almost 40 years, Optex has been trusted by thousands of customers worldwide for the accuracy and reliability of its detection systems.

BBC Bircher Smart Access develops, manufactures and sells detector systems that aim to protect increasingly large flows of people and traffic all over the world, and to create access systems that are convenient to use and energy-saving.
