Choosing the right indoor PIR detector: A guide to the OPTEX FlipX Series

One of the most distinctive features of the FlipX series is its rotatable lens. With a simple 180-degree turn, installers can change the detection pattern without swapping out the device:

A double conductive shielding lens ensures reliable performance in direct sunlight or other interference. FLX-P models offer wide detection up to 15 m (85°) and narrow detection up to 24 m. Choose this range for shops, offices and warehouses where coverage area and resilience to interference are key.

The FlipX Advanced is certified to EN50131 Grade 3 and delivers advanced functionality for high-rick applications. Anti-masking protection triggers a trouble signal if the detector is deliberately obstructed, plus a super-high sensitivity mode for accurate detection even when the temperature difference between a person and the background is minimal. FLX-A models offer wide detection up to 15 m (85°) and narrow detection up to 24 m.
