OPTEX’s range of PIRs are highly accurate and reliable, which is critical when specifying outdoor detection to protect people, property and assets. The sensors were very quick and easy to install and seamlessly integrated with the Texecom panels.

We’ve worked with OPTEX for a number of years, and installed their technologies at a number of our other hotels in the group. For this new and hugely exciting project, there was nothing else on the market that met our brief. The OPTEX laser sensors are a simple, yet highly effective solution, providing the very highest level of detection that easily integrate with our wider security operation at the hotel.

Having worked together in the past to deliver bespoke security solutions for our clients, we were more than happy to work with OPTEX again. Its proactive and multi-layered approach to security provides the highest quality intrusion detection and service, which we’ve come to expect over the years. Their knowledge and expertise in delivering a reliable and robust security solution were crucial in supporting us on the Kent Science Park project.

The ability to remotely see exactly which area is being triggered has made a significant difference. It allows us to pinpoint the affected zone immediately, check the relevant CCTV footage, and monitor the situation without needing to attend site.

Olarm has already proven its ROI by helping us manage and assess false alerts more effectively. For example, during a heavy storm, an intruder sensor in our lean‑to building was triggered. The Olarm app notified us before the alarm centre’s automated phone call came through. While the call did not specify which sensor was activated, the app clearly identified the zone, allowing us to assess the situation quickly and accurately.

As a result, we were able to make an informed decision to omit that sensor, as all doors to the building are already alarmed and provide sufficient coverage.

It’s impressive that with such a relatively small investment, Olarm has added a substantial amount of functionality and visibility to our existing alarm system.
