I have been in the automatic door business since the early 1990s and for 26 years I have been with OPTEX's high quality sensors. As president, I have been responsible for the ins and outs of the organization for all these years, as well as always being responsible for some of the key accounts.

My free time I like to spend with my friends and family. The annual ski trip with them is one of the highlights of my year. I have a great time when kicking a ball around on the field. I have been a member of my soccer club for over 50 years and still play weekly. Furthermore I enjoy hiking, especially in the mountains, and enjoy spending time with horses.

In 2003 I joined OPTEX at the headquarters in Japan and since then, I’ve been building up my professional career with the global business of sensing solutions for automatic doors and security applications. I have recently been assigned as Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer here at OPTEX Technologies B.V in The Netherlands. and one of my missions is to make OPTEX an even more essential part of the industry and provide our customers with unique sensing solutions. I’m thrilled with my new challenge to work overseas, fulfilling my missions, and achieve long term goals in the dynamics of an international environment.

In my spare time, I enjoy running and watching football. I would really like to join a full-marathon or trail running competition in Europe in the near future. Cooking nice Japanese dishes is my highest focus at this moment as I believe good nutrition is the key to good mental and physical health. Lastly, I enjoy exploring the cultural treasures of my new living environment.

For several years, I have been immersed in a Japanese work environment specializing in Sales & Marketing for technical products, spanning from Photovoltaics to Lithium-Ion Batteries, Automotive Exhaust Gas materials, non-destructive testing equipment, and more.

As of March 2024, I commence my role as the Chief Sales Officer at OPTEX Technologies, serving the EMEA Entrance Division. Leveraging my accumulated experience and knowledge across various industries, I am looking forward to collaborate with my colleagues to expand our business and deliver distinctive solutions to customers with our high-quality sensors for automatic doors.

During my free time, I find pleasure in engaging in Badminton, practicing Archery, and embarking on adventures with my family to explore the world.

I have been working as a specialist in the field of door automation in various responsibilities since 1993 and started 2012 as Sales, Technical Support and Training representative for OPTEX in Germany and Austria, before I became the responsibility for DACH and Eastern Europe. After 10 years in a new responsibility as Key Account Manager for this well-known home territory and Product Manager for the whole EMEA region.

Furthermore, am I also representing OPTEX at the FTA (German Association for Door Automation) in the board and active member at the manufacturer, technical and training work groups.

I enjoy my business task as it consists of a mix of traveling, personal contact with customers and office work. At the same time I also care for a nice ratio between my work, family and leisure to stay in the right balance.

As soon as my time permits, I enjoy several outdoor activities and adventures in the mountains surrounding my Bavarian home such as skiing, mountain climbing, cycling and motorcycling with my „old” Kawasaki ZX-7R preferably together with my family and friends. One of the best experiences for me are barbecues with a bonfire in nature.

Early 2018 I came to Optex for a short 5-day orientation internship. Early 2020 I came back to write my Bachelor thesis on the market of industrial doors for the introduction of the OAM-EXPLORER industrial door sensor. This is a new market for Optex Technologies. After graduating, I decided in good consolidation with Ronald to stay and put my findings to practice.

In my spare time, I prefer to spend time with my family or friends. I won’t say no to a nice dinner at a restaurant or a fun game of snooker accompanied by a beer at the bar. Besides good food and a cold beer, I enjoy playing and watching a good game of football. Every Saturday I enter the pitch thinking I can pass like Pirlo, dribble like Messi, and coach like Guardiola. Leaving the field disappointed every time, but I enjoy it!

I have been working in a technical environment for a long time. I’m proud to be part of the OPTEX EMEA Entrance team as Sales Engineer Italy for the Smart Mobility Solutions.

I will focus on supporting the vehicle detection market, improving and expanding our activities and giving customers my very best technical and sales support.

Aside from my job, I love spending my free time with my family, my wife and playing with my daughter. I'm passionate about historic cars and have one myself. Every Saturday afternoon, I have guitar lessons to chase the dream of becoming a professional guitar player.

At OPTEX Technologies, my journey began part-time during my student years, while pursuing degrees in mechatronics and project engineering. I actively supported the technical crew during that time. Since January 2024, I've dedicated myself full-time to OPTEX as a Tech Support and Jr. R&D Engineer.

Beyond work, my passions in my free time don’t stop with technology. Exploring 3D printing and modelling paired with self-crafted electronics and software, allows me to be creative at home. Outside the tech realm, I find joy in a game of field hockey, having a night out with friends or embarking on (off-piste) skiing adventures, with friends or family.

Within OPTEX I take care off all orders from start to finish and everything that has a connection to Logistics. Besides OPTEX I’m a really sport minded. In 2010 the opportunity was given to me to run the Marathon of New York sponsored by OPTEX. It was a fantastic experience. Besides running I play soccer and tennis once a week.

As a student at the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, I am gaining experience within OPTEX. In the future, I will be a graduate logistics manager and thanks to OPTEX, I will already be a few steps ahead of the other students.

Besides working and studying, I like to be with my friends. We enjoy to watch football with a beer. I'm also on the football field myself with the same friends. Our level is not like on TV but we have fun and that's what we are all about!

In April 1998 I started working for Optex Technologies, when it was still known as Secumatic. After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, my job extended more and more towards accounting activities, which have my preference.

I have been married for 28 years, have two grown-up sons and like spending my free time either baking, dining with friends or family, reading, running and wondering what the future will bring!

In the past I worked in communications and product management at a trading company and a health care organization. Both in my work and private life I love to organize and facilitate, but also to create and improve things with an eye for details and quality. In 2019 my challenge at Optex Technologies started. I really enjoy being a part of the team and like the diversity en challenges of the job!

Family time with my wonderful husband and kids is very valuable to me. On our days off we often head outdoors for a hike or go out for cultural activities. We love to meet up with friends, preferably accompanied by Italian or Asian food. Besides cooking, reading and arts and crafts, I love to travel, enjoy dining out, visiting museums and going to the cinema. To stay healthy I like the challenge of a good game of squash, running and I have been riding horses since I was 6 years old.
