The Security Event 2026
Date: 28 to 30 April 2026
Location: NEC Birmingham
Stand: 5/J25
Overview
The Security Event brings together the UK security industry to explore new technologies and practical solutions for protecting modern sites. Join OPTEX Security EMEA at the NEC Birmingham to see how advanced intrusion detection improves reliability across commercial buildings, logistics facilities, and critical infrastructure.
Live demonstrations on the stand will show how accurate detection, perimeter monitoring, and fast signalling work together to support stronger site protection and faster response.
What you will see
• Live demonstrations of perimeter and site detection technologies
• Real security scenarios explained by technical specialists
• Practical guidance for installers and integrators
• Examples of layered intrusion protection
Technologies on display
REDSCAN LiDAR detection
REDSCAN LiDAR sensors use laser measurement technology to create precise virtual detection zones. The sensor scans the protected area and measures distance across the scene to detect movement and position with high accuracy.
Installers can configure detection zones to protect open areas, building walls, entrances, and façades. The technology supports applications such as virtual walls, sterile zones, and restricted access areas.
REDSCAN sensors provide early detection around sensitive assets such as data centres, logistics facilities, and infrastructure sites where accurate alerts are critical.
Fibre perimeter sensing
Fibre optic sensing protects long perimeters by analysing vibration patterns along a fibre cable installed on a fence or underground. When someone climbs, cuts, or interferes with the perimeter, the system detects the disturbance and identifies the location along the fence line.
Advanced signal processing separates genuine intrusion attempts from environmental noise such as wind or rain. A single system can monitor several kilometres of perimeter while maintaining stable detection performance.
Fibre sensing is widely used on large sites such as energy infrastructure, logistics parks, and industrial facilities.
Olarm MAX signalling and remote oversight
Olarm MAX provides secure alarm signalling and remote management for professional security systems. The device connects alarm panels to cloud services using dual path communication, allowing fast alarm transmission and remote system control.
Installers and monitoring centres can access system status, event notifications, and diagnostics through a secure mobile application and web platform. This improves system oversight and speeds up response when an alarm occurs.
Olarm MAX supports modern monitoring workflows where remote visibility and reliable communication are essential.
