OPTEX TXI named finalist at The Security & Fire Awards for Excellence 2026

OPTEX is proud to announce that the recently launched TXI has been shortlisted as a finalist in the ‘Security Hardware Product Innovation of the Year’ category at The Security & Fire Awards for Excellence.

The category recognises products that raise the standard of performance, reliability and innovation in security hardware. As sites face more demanding environments and false alarms become increasingly costly, reliable outdoor detection is essential to protect buildings and their perimeters.

TXI is a compact outdoor curtain sensor designed for installation at height. Its patent-pending Triple AND Logic technology uses two sensing elements to create three detection zones, triggering an alarm only when all three zones are crossed. This helps reduce false alarms caused by small animals while keeping the sensor small, robust and easy to install.

The Security & Fire Awards for Excellence recognise outstanding people, projects and products across the UK security and fire sectors. Entries are reviewed, judged and scored by an independent panel of expert judges, and finalists are selected on the merit of their submissions.

Winners will be announced on Monday 30 November 2026 at the official awards ceremony at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London.
