BCU-5

Battery Common Use Unit

The Battery Common Use Unit (BCU-5) is an accessory which allows both the wireless beam sensors and the wireless alarm transmitter to be powered from a single set of batteries (located in the beam sensors)
The BCU-5 can be used with the
- AX-100/200 TFR series – 30 and 60m wireless twin infrared beams
- SL-100/200 TNR – 30 and 60m wireless and hybrid (partly wired / wireless) twin infrared beams
- SL-QFR and SL-QNR series – 60 and 100m wireless Quad infrared beams

When sharing the battery power using the BCU-5, the low battery signal for both the sensor and wireless transmitter will be monitored by the wireless receiver. It has two benefits, there is no need to use a two channel wireless transmitter, only one channel is required to send the tamper signal and it simplifies the analysis of the “low power signal”.
