VXS Series - Intelligent security for confined spaces

The VX Shield (VXS) series, part of the OPTEX Shield range, is precision-engineered for small to medium-sized spaces, such as narrow porches, exterior side corridors or garden paths. Thanks to its dual-layer detection and advanced filtering, the VXS series distinguishes between real threats and everyday movements, such as pets or branches moving in the wind.

Simplified installation

Every detail of the installation process has been optimised with the installer in mind: from a 90° locking system to intuitive range adjustment tools. What was once one of the most complicated parts of a security system is now simple and smooth.

Precision detection

Both the upper and lower areas of the PIR sensor and the microwave area must be crossed simultaneously to generate an alarm. Each activation is analysed independently, virtually eliminating false alarms caused by small animals.

WXS series - Total coverage for open spaces

Larger, more open outdoor areas require a greater field of vision. This is precisely what the WX Shield (WXS) series offers. With the capacity to independently cover left and right detection zones, this sensor provides customised protection for patios, gardens and terraces.

Thanks to dual PIR technology and digital temperature compensation, the WXS maintains high accuracy even in extreme conditions. Each side can be adjusted up to 12 metres, with individual range and sensitivity settings, ideal for customising coverage according to each area.

Total control, less interference

The WXS series includes dual PIR models and dual technology versions. The latter (such as the WXS-DAM and the WXS-RDAM) combine PIR and microwave detection, offering greater stability in environments with direct sunlight or car headlights.

Intelligent integration

The battery-powered WXS-RAM and WXS-RDAM models integrate easily with most wireless alarm systems. They incorporate anti-masking technology, which detects any attempt to obstruct the lens and sends a direct signal to the alarm panel. Many wireless transmitters can be housed within the sensor itself, facilitating power supply and connectivity.

Flexible mounting options

Whether mounted low (0.8-1.2 m) or high (2 m), WXS sensors have two independent 90° detection zones. Each can trigger a different response, for example, an audible alert on the left and CCTV recording on the right.
