Optex Bx 80Nr Picture

Product Details

BX-80NR has been replaced and upgraded with award-winning curtain sensors BX Shield Series.

The BX-80NR is a battery-operated outdoor sensor that provides a curtain detection range from 2 to 12m on each side (left and right) which is ideal to protect the immediate boundary of a building. When located on a house or building facade, it will detect people getting right next to the wall or leaning towards the windows making it a perfect early intrusion detection sensor. Please note the EE1216 is sold separately.

Animal tolerant and very stable

The BX series is very stable to use in outdoor environment with small animal around. The sensor sends infrared beams on each side, both the top and bottom of the sensor. The beams need to detect a presence to trigger so a bird or a cat sitting on the window seal will not set the alarm off. Additionally, the BX-80 has extra features such as double conductive shielding, advanced temperature compensation and size judging function to provide reliable and stable detection.

The convenience of "wireless"

The BX-80R doesn't require any cable or wire at all to be installed. The low-current sensor is powered by batteries (not provided) which can last up to 3 years and has a backbox big enough to accommodate most wireless transmitters available on the market. The BX-80NR can be easily added onto a wireless alarm panel and extend the protection of the house or building to the outside.
