VXS-RDAM

Protect approaches to buildings with a wide 90° PIR detection area extending up to 12 m. Five range settings, 2.5 m, 3.5 m, 6 m, 8.5 m and 12 m, help installers match detection to driveways, gardens, pathways and entrances.

The VXS-RDAM uses upper and lower PIR detection zones to analyse movement before generating an alarm. This helps distinguish people from small animals, reducing unwanted alarms while maintaining reliable detection of approaching intruders.

Built-in active infrared anti-masking identifies attempts to cover, obstruct or interfere with the detector lens. If masking is detected, the VXS-RDAM sends a trouble signal to the alarm system, providing added protection against tampering.

OPTEX SMDA logic analyses detection patterns and environmental conditions to improve outdoor stability. This helps filter common causes of unwanted alarms, such as changing temperatures and moving vegetation, while maintaining dependable intrusion detection.

Installers can select from five detection ranges to suit the protected area. This helps keep detection focused on the property rather than extending into roads, neighbouring areas or other unwanted spaces.

Supplied masking seals let installers exclude specific sections of the 90° detection area. This gives greater control around vegetation, pathways, roads and other areas where detection is not required.

By detecting people outside before they reach doors or windows, VXS gives the security system an opportunity to raise an alarm, activate lighting or trigger CCTV at an earlier stage.
