The TXI Series is designed to address this challenge.  

Engineered for high-mount outdoor perimeter protection, the TXI Series creates a narrow detection curtain along building façades, supporting earlier intrusion detection before an intruder reaches the property. Suitable for residential, commercial, and industrial environments, it combines precise detection with reduced unwanted alarms. 

Built for demanding outdoor environments

Outdoor installations are constantly exposed to environmental disturbances. Wind, rain, moving vegetation, birds, and small wildlife can all trigger false alarms, especially in high-mounted applications where detectors are angled downward.

Rather than simply reducing sensitivity to minimise these disturbances, the TXI Series is designed to maintain reliable detection performance through intelligent processing technologies, enabling accurate detection even in challenging outdoor conditions.

Intelligent detection verification

At the core of the TXI Series is OPTEX’s patent-pending Triple AND Logic, a key technology developed to support reliable outdoor detection while helping to minimise nuisance alarms

Three independent detection layers are continuously analysed, with an alarm only triggered when all zones are activated simultaneously. This helps improve discrimination between genuine human movement and environmental activity. The result is highly reliable curtain detection while helping reduce the usual trade-offs in sensitivity or range.

True pet tolerance supported by SMDA Logic

The TXI Series integrates Quad + Dual PIR sensing technology (triple AND Logic) with OPTEX’s Super Multidimensional Analysis (SMDA) to support improved accuracy in complex outdoor conditions. SMDA Logic continuously analyses movement patterns and environmental changes, filtering out irrelevant signals in real time.

As a result, the system is designed to offer reliable pet tolerance, helping to reduce false alarms in mixed outdoor environments where small animals and wildlife may be present.  

Anti-sabotage and self-protection features

The TXI Series incorporates multiple self-protection mechanisms to ensure long-term reliability in outdoor installations. Integrated tamper protection is included across the entire range, while dual-technology models also feature anti-masking detection, alerting users if the sensor is intentionally covered, obstructed, or otherwise tampered with. In addition, accelerometer-based alignment monitoring helps identify any movement or misalignment of the detector over time, supporting consistent performance after installation.

Compact design with flexible installation options

Despite its advanced capabilities, the TXI Series maintains a compact and discreet design that blends easily into modern installations.

• Mounting heights up to 4m
• Optional look-down zone for enhanced ground-level protection
• Accelerometer-based alignment monitoring for long-term installation stability

Integrated tamper protection across the range

Installation is further simplified through included brackets for secure mounting and concealed wiring. For additional flexibility, the optional TXI-BKT bracket allows precise wall or ceiling positioning with adjustable angle and tilt.

Models  

The TXI Series is available in four configurations: TXI-ST (wired PIR), TXI-DAM (wired dual-technology with anti-masking), TXI-R (battery-powered PIR), and TXI-RDAM (battery-powered dual-technology with anti-masking).

Battery-powered versions support integration with third-party wireless transmitters, making the system suitable for retrofit projects and locations where cabling is impractical.
