OPTEX Super Multi-Dimensional Analysis assesses detection information to help filter environmental disturbances such as temperature, brightness and moving shadows. The result is more stable indoor detection with fewer nuisance alarms.

The sensing element is designed around the characteristics of the human body, helping the detector distinguish people from smaller sources of movement. This supports accurate intrusion detection and reduces unwanted alarms.

FLX-P-ST is EN 50131 Grade 2 compliant, providing reliable indoor intrusion detection for homes and commercial properties. Grade 2 certification means the detector meets recognised security standards for protection against intruders with some knowledge of alarm systems and access to basic tools.

The specially designed spherical lens provides a precise focal length of each detection ray onto the pyroelectric elements. This advanced lens design helps to ensure consistency throughout the field of detection and considerably reduces the chance of missed alarms.

FlipX gives installers two detection patterns from a single sensor. Simply rotate the lens 180° to switch between 12 m wide-angle coverage for rooms and open spaces, or 18 m narrow coverage for corridors and long areas. This flexibility means the same detector works across different applications, helping installers simplify product selection, carry fewer sensor models and adapt to the layout during installation.

FlipX uses a specially designed human-shaped pyroelectric element to closely match the shape and movement of the human body. Combined with advanced detection logic, the sensor identifies genuine intrusion more accurately while filtering environmental disturbances and other common causes of unwanted alarms. This delivers more stable detection across a wide range of indoor environments.
