VXI-DAM

The detection length of the VXI sensors can be set to 12m, 8.5m, 6m, 5.5m or 2.5m to adapt to the site configuration. The sensor comes as well with a choice of pre-cut masking templates to modify the detection areas and only focus on the points of interest.

The VXI sensors features a digital microprocessor which analyses the infrared emissions received and differentiate the ones generated by human from the ones generated by sunlight, animals, vegetation sway, or weather conditions. This intelligence makes the risk of false alarm very low.

VXI provides wide-angle outdoor detection up to 12 metres, making it suited to driveways, gardens, entrances, pathways and building approaches.

The VXI-DAM includes active infrared anti-masking technology. If someone attempts to cover or obstruct the detector lens, the sensor identifies the masking attempt and generates a trouble output.

This helps protect the detector against deliberate interference, such as tape or other materials being placed over the lens.

The VXI-DAM uses two PIR detection layers. Both layers must detect movement before an alarm activates, helping provide stable outdoor detection.

Pre-cut masking seals let installers exclude selected sections of the 90° detection area. This helps avoid public paths, roads or other areas where movement does not need monitoring.

The detection design helps reduce unwanted alarms caused by small animals, making the VXI-DAM suited to residential gardens and other outdoor areas where animals might be present.

The VXI-DAM combines PIR and microwave detection to provide stable outdoor intrusion detection. Both technologies work together to confirm movement before triggering an alarm, helping reduce nuisance alarms caused by environmental conditions.

The VXI Series is designed for stable detection in challenging outdoor environments. Double-layer PIR detection requires both detection layers to identify movement before an alarm is triggered. SMDA logic analyses detection patterns to help distinguish intrusion from common environmental disturbances, reducing nuisance alarms.

The detection area is adjusted to suit the property. Installers select the detection range and mask unwanted areas, helping protect driveways, gardens, building approaches and other outdoor spaces without monitoring areas outside the site.
