WXI Series

The WXI Series provides 180° outdoor detection with a 12 m range, two independent detection areas and SMDA logic for stable performance across residential and commercial sites. It is a strong choice where wide coverage is needed without a visually dominant detector.

The WXI outdoor motion sensors provide two detection areas, left and right, that can be independently set. For instance, the right zone can be set at 3.5m while the left one is set at 8.5m. The sensitivity can be high in one zone and low in the other to match the operational requirements of any site.

It is best suited to gardens, driveways, patios, courtyards, open building fronts, car parks, loading areas and commercial entrances where wide approach detection is required.

WXI is the right choice when you need broad 180-degree outdoor detection from one device. It is well suited to gardens, driveways, patios, courtyards, open building fronts, car parks and commercial entrances where movement can come from several directions.

The independent left and right detection areas help installers match the sensor to the site layout. Each side can be adjusted separately, making WXI useful for wider spaces where one side may need a different range or angle to the other.

Use WXI when the site needs wide outdoor coverage up to 12m, with a discreet sensor that can protect a broad approach area from a single mounting position.

Alternative solutions to the WXI could be to use the WXS when the site needs flexible high or low mounting height.

WXS is the better choice when the installation height needs more flexibility. It can be used at lower mounting heights around 0.8 to 1.2m, or higher mounting positions around 2.0 to 2.2m depending on the site and model.

This makes WXS useful for properties where the sensor needs to fit around windows, walls, fences, garden layouts, building features or design restrictions. It is also well suited to sites where appearance matters and the sensor needs to blend into the building.

Use WXS when the site needs 180-degree outdoor protection, but the mounting position is a key part of the design.

Use BXS when the site needs narrow curtain detection along the building line.

BXS is designed for boundary protection along the immediate edge of a building. Instead of covering a wide open area, it creates narrow curtain detection to the left and right of the sensor.

This makes BXS well suited to doors, windows, patios, bifold doors, garages, side passages, shopfronts, loading doors and warehouse shutters. It helps detect movement close to the building before an intruder reaches an entry point.

Use BXS when the risk is along the wall, building edge or access point, and the site needs left and right curtain detection rather than wide-area coverage.
