REDWALL Series

Long range PIR detection

REDWALL is a long-range outdoor PIR detection range designed to protect open areas, approaches and high-security outdoor sites.

The series detects people moving through defined outdoor detection areas before they reach the protected building, asset or perimeter line. It is often used to trigger CCTV systems, lighting, alarms or wider security responses.

REDWALL is suited to sites where early warning matters, including datacentres, utilities, logistics yards, warehouses, airports, rail sites, prisons, commercial premises and critical infrastructure.

Quality detection system for video surveillance

The REDWALL Series provides a wide choice of long-range, volumetric sensors to protect sites, buildings and perimeters against intrusion. All models feature two independent detection zones, far and near; some models feature a third detection area, called creep zone, looking directly under the sensor. The independent detection zones can activate a number of events such as camera pre-set position to provide the visual verification or voice warning to deter intruders to go any further.

Weather and vandal-resistant

External sensors can be subject to considerable environmental changes that can affect performance. The Redwall SIP series automatically adjusts the sensitivity to adapt to the temperature and ambient lighting. The sensitivity can also be configured independently for the near and far zones, the level of detection can be adjusted depending on the intensity of the threat. The stability of the sensors has helped provide thousands of sites with a secure and effective security system, that can be easily monitored locally or via a remote video monitoring centre.

Designed to trigger CCTV cameras

The REDWALL SIP series is designed to be connected to PTZ or fixed cameras and trigger the CCTV system when an intrusion occurs. The Redwall SIP-IP series generates a Redwall Event Code to send alarm, tamper and trouble signals via ethernet. This code has been integrated into the Video Management Software (VMS), PSIM platforms or in some cases directly to the IP cameras. It allows the intrusion alarm management and visual verification to be centralised.

REDWALL Series

Yes, SIP-HU can be used in the following models: SIP-3020, SIP-3020/5, SIP-4010, SIP-4010/5, SIP-404, SIP-404/5, SIP-5030 and SIP-100.

SIP3020/4010/404 models require 11-16 VDC or 22-26 VAC. 12 VDC is used for SIP3020 CAM DN models only.

To align Redwall SIP units correctly, you need a portable tester (OPM-WT) and a surface viewer (AVF-1).

Once the Redwall SIP unit is mounted on the wall or a pole, ideally at a height of 4m – or at least above 2.3m, the View Finder should be plugged onto the sensor using the two holes to secure it. The correct viewing plate should be inserted – each SIP model has a corresponding viewing plate. Looking through the plate, the sensor should be adjusted to ensure that it is grounded at the maximum detection distance. For instance, for a SIP-3020, the sensor should be grounded (not directed towards the sky) at 30m. Additionally, it is best to avoid having the detection area right at the edge of the security area, rather it is best practice to leave 1m either side. If the detection area is 20m wide, it is better to centre the view at 11m from the edge on either side. If required, masking sticks can be used to mask part of the detection area. No, configuration tools can be purchased separately with the product code SIP-AT.

The detection will be less accurate. Ensure that the SIP is not installed higher than the recommended height which is 4m.
