Across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), we are introducing our new fibre optic solution, the Fiber Defender® FD7104™, designed by our group company, Fiber Sensys. The four-zone fibre optic sensor features new tuning and remote capabilities providing reliable and easy to configure fence intrusion detection for medium to large commercial and critical infrastructure sites.

The FD7104™ will be able to alert of any breach to the perimeter, for instance an intruder climbing the fence or cutting the mesh. It can also be deployed on wall fabric to detect drilling.

The Perimeter Intrusion Detection (PID) system has been equipped with a new algorithm which allows the sensor to dynamically adjust to the environment and the environmental noise, distinguishing genuine intrusions from disturbances created by weather conditions such as wind or heavy rain.

The Alarm Processing Unit (APU) also brings in new practical features that enhance the user experience, such as the embedded web interface for remote tuning of the system. The flexible installation options allow the processor to be mounted locally or installed remotely in a control room up to 5km away from the zone. The detection system is immune to EMI, RFI, and corrosion, and works reliably in harsh environments.
