OPTEX wireless security systems offer a convenient and efficient solution for securing premises across multiple applications and environments. Regardless of the wireless panel utilised, the opportunity exists to harness the quality and reliability of OPTEX intrusion detection sensors, creating an advanced early detection system.

Our low-current, battery-operated intrusion detectors incorporate the same intelligent detection technology found in our wired models, ensuring consistent performance. These detectors are specifically designed to seamlessly integrate with and support a wide range of wireless transmitters available in the market.

Communication with the alarm panel can take different forms. It may be conventional, with the detector transmitting standard alarm information to the panel. Alternatively, it can involve integrated uni-directional communication, enabling the transmission of more detailed information to the panel. Moreover, it can be bi-directional, allowing the sensor to both transmit and receive information, and facilitating dynamic adjustments to device settings.

Here is how you connect our BXS curtain detector to Texecom Ricochet.

Step 1.

Open the sensor unit and remove the BXS control module. Now set the DIP switches on the Ricochet transmitter to communicate with the BXS. Set DIP switch SW1 and SW3 to on.

Step 2.

Now connect the blue and purple wires, the trouble output from the BXS to the BGR-01.

Step 3.

Next take the power and alarm wires from the BXS control module, the black, red, white and yellow and connect these to the BGR-01.

Step 4.

The BGR-01 is now ready to be powered, insert the battery.

Step 5.

Put the BGR-01 into the back box of the BXS and then re-insert the BXS control module.

Step 6.

Configure the DIP switches on the BXS according to the site requirements. DIP switch 3 must be OFF for use with a single input transmitter

Step 7.

When complete place the cover back on to the BXS unit.
