The BX-100Plus is a set of outdoor IR beams that can protect vulnerable entry points into a residential or commercial building, including windows, doors, and roll-up shutters. BX-100Plus has a built-in audible indicator or buzzer which serves two purposes:

1) Beam set alignment:

For easy alignment, a sounder activates, so if the sensor is misaligned an LED light will flash. Once the sensor is aligned, it will automatically switch off the sounder, making the alignment process quick and easy.

2) Buzzer on alarm:

An added advantage of an audible Alignment/Alarm indicator is that it can be used as a deterrent to intruders.

1. How to set up the sounder for beam alignment

Set buzzer volume to minimum or maximum

Set dip switch 1 to OFF position and

Set dip switch 2 to OFF position.

Power up both the transmitter and receiver. The buzzer will start to beep. Adjust the alignment until the buzzer makes a constant tone. The beam set is aligned and ready.


2. How to set up BX-100plus buzzer to sound during alarm

We have setting for the buzzer to sound when there is an alarm, regardless of the control panel's armed or disarmed status.

This feature is also useful for a walk test.

Set buzzer volume to minimum or maximum

Set dip switch 1 to OFF position and

Set dip switch 2 to ON position

For zones with frequently disarmed /armed use case, this may be an issue as the buzzers sound each time the beam is crossed.

BX-100plus buzzer sound during alarm only when the control panel is armed.

BX-100plus has an audio control input. Control panel armed/disarmed output is connected to the audio control input terminal in the BX-100plus to control the BX-100plus buzzer sound mode.

In this configuration, the BX-100Plus internal buzzer will sound during alarm only when the control panel is armed but stays mute/quiet when the panel is disarmed.
